The Team

Hi, my name is Lynne and. I am a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist for 0-25 year olds. I know the impact that getting communication right has on independence, learning, employment, wellbeing and behaviour. As a neurodivergent person myself, I understand the importance of having your needs understood; both for others for yourself too. I have over 15 years’ experience working exclusively in schools, educational settings, and local authority services. This has given me an in-depth understanding of the education and SEN system, which I have used to design and deliver services that enhance educational provision for neurodiverse learners and those with complex learning needs. Alongside my clinical work, I have led multi-disciplinary teams, implemented large-scale system change, acted as a lead professional in EHCP processes and tribunals, as well as a supervisor to other therapists. My clinical practice focuses on supporting children and young people with complex communication needs, particularly those who are autistic, pre-verbal, or have additional attachment mental health, behavioural, or trauma-related challenges. I have extensive experience in diagnostic assessment, and in developing holistic, evidence-based interventions that improve communication, learning, and access to education, services, and community life. I have master’s level training in SLCN with social emotional or behavioural difficulties and counselling skills training; and I take a non-directive, trauma informed approach to therapy and assessment. I am a sensory inclusion facilitator, certified civil and criminal expert witness and am in the process of completing my Therapeutic Life Story diploma. I am qualified to administer gold standard Autism assessments and work alongside psychologists to provide NICE guidelines compliant diagnostic reports for children and adults. In all my work I advocate for my client, ensuring their voice and needs are valued, heard and fully understood.
