The Team
Childrens Play Therapy & Young People Counselling
Fiona Coull, Certified Play Therapist
'Hi, my name is Fiona, and I am a Certified Play Therapist through PTUK (Play Therapy UK). I am also a qualified primary teacher of over 20 years’ experience and have supported families across Hampshire in a variety of roles.
Play therapy is a non-threatening, creative, and engaging approach that allows children to work through their experiences in a way that feels natural to them.
Children often struggle to express themselves with words, especially when dealing with difficult emotions or traumatic experiences. Play therapy allows them to communicate and process their feelings using a therapeutic toolkit of toys, games, art, and other creative activities. I mostly work using a non-directive but structured approach to support children

Joanna Rice, Counsellor
Working with people to help them through trauma, distressing life events, adverse childhood experiences, the knock-on effects of dealing with bereavement of any sort, the impact of living with long term ill-health, disability or coming to terms with a new diagnosis, truly is my passion. These are some of the many reasons people come to see me, but I also work with young people (aged 13+) supporting them with friendship issues, self-esteem, self-harm, dealing with the effects of bullying, figuring out their gender identity and supporting them with the impact of divorce and of having a narcissistic parent in their life. In fact, any of those things can apply to adults as well, so if that's something you're still dealing with in adulthood, please know that you are not alone, and it's never too late to seek help. I provide all the usual to my clients - space to talk freely and openly without fear of judgement; listening with empathy and supporting you to explore what you need to at your own pace - plus warmth, kindness and occasionally laughter when that feels right too. All emotions, thoughts and feelings are important and part of the healing journey, lets create a space where all and any of them are OK to experience and express.

Nik (Nicola Godbold) Counsellor
I’m Nik (Nicola Godbold), and I’m a qualified and registered therapist for people aged 14+. I truly love helping people grow and embrace positive change. Whether there is anxiety, depression, relationship or family issues, a specific problem or mental wellbeing goals impacting your life, I am here to support you in stepping towards them.
I’ve learned from my own experiences that being human can be quite a tough journey at times. That’s why I believe it’s so important to connect with someone who can be real with us, challenge our perspectives, and support us in finding our potential for change. After all, if we keep doing the same things, we’re bound to get the same results!
I am passionate about promoting inclusivity in therapy, which is why I have trained as a National Autism Trainer. This role allows me to raise awareness about autism and its impacts in professional settings. I firmly believe that everyone deserves access to tailored support that meets their unique needs.
I am human and I bring that into the room with my personal experience. Real talk combined with the right kind of support can really boost personal growth… so lets get started! Over to you!

Darren Boyce-Smith, Counsellor
I’m a Person-Centred Counsellor, and I believe that each person’s story is unique and deserves to be heard with care and respect. My approach is centred around you — your experiences, your pace, and what feels most important to you.
I offer a warm, safe, and non-judgemental space where you can talk freely and be yourself. Sometimes life can feel confusing, painful, or overwhelming, and it’s not always easy to face those feelings alone. You might be struggling after a loss, a relationship ending, or a change that’s left you feeling uncertain or stuck. Whatever you’re going through, you don’t have to carry it by yourself.
Counselling can be a gentle way to begin making sense of your thoughts and emotions, to reconnect with yourself, and to find a sense of clarity and hope again. My role is to walk alongside you — to listen, to support, and to help you explore your experiences in a way that feels safe and meaningful for you
